Gardens now a 'Wireless Hotspot'

Visitors to the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens are able to surf the internet and check their email, thanks the establishment of a Telstra Bigpond Wireless Hotspot within the Gardens.

This Hotspot provides the ability for users of laptops or other mobile devices to access the internet wirelessly. It operates in and around the Gardens' Visitor Centre, Restaurant and across the grounds to the Training Centre and beyond.

Anyone can use the service - it works on a user pays basis. The attached leaflet explains how it works.

To access the Hotspot service, simply take your wireless-enabled device to the vicinity of the Visitor Centre, launch your web browser and you'll automatically be directed to the Telstra log-in screen. Then follow the prompts.

Further information on the the Telstra Wireless Hotspot service can be found here or via the Telstra helpdesk on 1300 131 816.

This service adds to the already significant appeal of the Gardens as a venue for meetings, conferences or just a quiet place to catch up with your emails over coffee!
