The restaurant at the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens would have Views over the Derwent River from the restaurant balcony to be one of the most delightful places to enjoy a meal anywhere in Tasmania, and its magnificent new deck offering sweeping views of the Gardens and Derwent River are an ideal place for an intimate meal or celebration.

The restaurant offers top quality fresh Tasmanian produce prepared simply but beautifully, accompanied by local wine at very reasonable prices.

The Gardens Restaurant is open seven days a week for lunch, coffee, drinks and morning and afternoon tea, and starting up again on October 13, 2007, it will offer breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays. With its growing reputation, lunchtime bookings are recommended - phone 03 6236 3088.

Breakfast at the Gardens The restaurant is open from 10:00am - 5:00pm October - March and from 10:00am - 4:00pm between April - September, with breakfast available between October - March from 8.30am on weekends.

The Botanical Gardens Restaurant is also available by arrangement for private functions and is able to provide catering for events in all Gardens venues. Call 03 6236 3088 to discuss your requirements.
