Partner Gardens
The Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens has formal partnership
agreements with two significant gardens in the State's North West.
The partnerships with the Tasmanian Arboretum at Eugenana and the Emu Valley Rhododendron Garden near Burnie recognise the significance of the collections held by each of them.
The agreements are designed to raise public awareness of these wonderful regional gardens, encourage a sharing of knowledge and provide access to collections, archives and libraries for education and research.
Botanical material will be exchanged and there will be an opportunity for cooperative staff development and training.
A collection of southern hemisphere conifers, curated and maintained by the RTBG, is already in place at the Arboretum.
