Gardens sale a great occasion to welcome spring

18/08/2009

Much sought-after heirloom tomato plants will be among the treasure trove of bargains at the annual Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens spring sale on Saturday 19 September.

Make sure you arrive early to secure your choice of native plants, shrubs, herbaceous plants, succulents, potted colour, jams, books and magazines.

Don't rush off. Spend some time in the Gardens and sample a snag at the sausage sizzle.

It's a great opportunity to see the Gardens in their early spring glory.

Meanwhile, the Gardens are on the hunt for some small (10cm diameter) pots. If you have some to recycle or want more information about the sale, please contact Margot.White@rtbg.tas.gov.au or phone Margot at the RTBG Nursery on 6236 3082.
