Guided Tours

Enhance your experience of the Gardens by joining a RTBG Volunteer Guide Don Dabner leads a tour through the Japanese Garden guided tour. Our fully trained, friendly and knowledgeable volunteer guides lead regular tours that offer fascinating insights into the history, collections and stories behind these historic Gardens.

Accredited tour guides are available for group and individual bookings. Please contact the Visitors Centre for group bookings as prior notice is required. Contact the Gardens' Visitor Centre on 6236 3076 for information.

Tours are conducted by trained and experienced guides, last approximately one hour and cost $5 per person. All proceeds are used by the Friends of the Gardens to support the work of the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens.
